Eliminating Emotional Shortcuts

"Cease all attempts to use emotional shortcuts (Watching) or mediated versions of reality to manipulate others. This builds the capacity for 'Direct Presence' and authentic interaction."

Using shortcuts involves projecting biases onto others to avoid responsibility. This step mitigates cognitive load and de-weaponizes interpersonal interactions by removing the 'Watching' filters that distort reality.

The Shortcut Log

Keep a 48-hour log of every time you felt the urge to 'Watch' (influence how another person sees you). Note the underlying insecurity and the 'Shortcut' you almost took.
